A Passionate surgeon working with breast disease.
Dr. Ali Nafisa, MBBS, FCPS (Surgery) is a highly experienced Oncoplastic Breast Surgeon and Associate Professor of Surgery. She currently serving as a Consultant at the Breast Centre, Labaid Cancer Hospital and Superspeciality Centre in Dhaka, Bangladesh. As a pioneer in breast cancer treatment, she have played a leading role in establishing the first dedicated Breast Care Unit and Research Centre in Bangladesh following UK protocols.
Dr. Nafisa completed her MBBS from Rajshahi Medical College and FCPS in Surgery from the Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons. She has over 15 years of clinical and academic experience, including advanced training in oncoplastic surgery in the UK. Her contributions include live surgical workshops, numerous national and international presentations, and multiple peer-reviewed research publications, primarily focused on breast cancer surgery and management.
Her passion and dedication for breast surgery enabled her to establish the first ever dedicated breast care unit in Bangladesh according to UK protocol to provide world class treatment for breast diseases including breast cancer in Bangladesh. She is associated with various associations both nationally as well as internationally such as Society of Surgeon of Bangladesh (SOSB), Society of Laparoscopic Surgeon of Bangladesh (SlSB), Society of Association of Breast Surgeon of Bangladesh (ASBS) and Asian Society of Mastology (ASOMA), INDIA.
